# AI Opt-In

## Overview

By opting in to [Finout's AI](https://docs.finout.io/cross-platform-features/list-of-cross-platform-features/ai-in-finout), you confirm you’re authorized to enable Finout’s AI features for your organization and approve their use. Finout’s AI tools are decision-support only and may occasionally produce incomplete or inaccurate results. Always verify outputs before taking action. Use is at your own discretion and risk. Finout’s AI tools do not use or store any personal information. All customer data is securely isolated, never mixed with data from other customers, and no model training is performed on your data.

**Note**: 

* Finout’s AI features use **AWS Bedrock**, and customer data is processed only by AWS. Bedrock does not send or share data with external model providers, and your data never leaves Finout’s controlled environment outside of AWS’s role in hosting the service.
* You can disable AI at any time with a single toggle, and all actions are logged for compliance purposes.

#### How AI opt-in works:

* **Default state** – AI features are **off** until an Admin explicitly enables them. 
* **Account-level scope** – The opt-in applies to the entire Finout account (workspace). Once enabled, AI features are available to all users in that workspace. 
* **Full reversibility** – Admins can turn AI off at any time. When disabled, Finout **immediately stops all AI features** for that workspace. 
* **Audit logging** – Every enable/disable action is recorded in your audit log for security and compliance tracking. 
* **Data privacy** – Finout’s AI services never use data to train models. Your data is only used to deliver insights inside your account. 

#### **Prerequisites**: 

Before you enable AI Services, make sure that:

* You are an **Admin** in the Finout account.

## Enable AI Services

1. In Finout, navigate to **Settings** and then click **Compliance & Privacy.**\
   The **AI Services Consent Agreement** appears.<br>

2. Review the consent statement and enable the **Enable AI Services** toggl&#x65;**.**\
   \
   **Result:**&#x20;
   * &#x20;AI-related capabilities, such as automated tagging and natural-language queries, become available across Finout.
   * The enable action is recorded in your audit log.

## Disable AI Services

1. In Finout, navigate to **Settings** and then click **Compliance & Privacy.**\

2. Disable the **Enable AI Services** toggle.\
   **Result**:
   * Finout **instantly disables all AI features** for your workspace.
   * The disable action is recorded in your audit log.

## FAQs

#### Who can enable or disable AI Services?

Only **Admins** in your Finout account can enable or disable AI Services from **Settings → Compliance & Privacy**.

#### Does Finout use my data to train AI models?

No. **Finout’s AI services never uses data for training models.** Your data is analyzed only to power AI features inside your own workspace.&#x20;

#### What happens when I enable AI Services?

When you enable AI Services:

* AI features such as automated tagging and natural-language queries become available in Finout.&#x20;
* The enable action is logged in your audit log for compliance and security tracking.&#x20;

#### What happens when I disable AI Services?

When you disable AI Services:

* Finout immediately stops all AI features for your workspace.
* Users no longer have access to AI-driven tagging, natural-language queries, or other AI-powered capabilities.
* The disable action is recorded in your audit log.

#### Will any of my data be sent to a third party when using Finout’s AI features?

Yes. Your data is processed by **AWS**. Finout’s AI features use **AWS Bedrock**, a fully self-sufficient AWS service. This means your data is handled only by AWS and never leaves the Finout environment beyond AWS’s role in hosting the service.
