This page consolidates all Finout [EKS Kubernetes Agent](/kubernetes-integrations/kubernetes/finout-eks-kubernetes-agent.md) release notes. Use this page to understand the changes made between agent versions, how upgrades affect cost calculation, and what actions (if any) are required during onboarding or upgrading.

**Availability:** Generally available for EKS.&#x20;

### Release Notes

<details>

<summary>Version 0.8.1 – Release date: September 16, 2026</summary>

**Overview**

The Kubernetes Agent **v0.8.1** adds support for installing the agent on GKE Autopilot clusters **(Alpha)**.&#x20;

The Node Collector's Fargate node exclusion is now controlled by `nodeCollector.excludeFargateNodes`, which Autopilot installs must set to `false`.

**Required action:** None for existing EKS clusters. To install on GKE Autopilot (Alpha), use chart version **0.8.1** or later and pass `--set nodeCollector.excludeFargateNodes=false`.

<details>

<summary>Version 0.8.0 – Release date: August 31, 2026</summary>

**Overview**

The EKS Kubernetes Agent **v0.8.0** updates the default resource requests and limits for kube-state-metrics, the Central Collector, and the Node Collector.

Recommended values by cluster size are available in the [EKS Kubernetes Agent Installation Guide](/kubernetes-integrations/kubernetes/finout-kubernetes-agent/install-the-finout-kubernetes-agent.md#resource-footprint) — use these as a starting point when the default isn't enough.

**Required action:** Upgrade the Helm chart to version **0.8.0**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.finout.io/kubernetes-integrations/kubernetes/finout-eks-kubernetes-agent/finout-eks-kubernetes-agent-release-notes.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
