Cost Center Management

Overview

Cost Centers Management lets you manage and maintain cost centers directly from the Finout console. You can rename cost centers, filter and search the list, view additional metadata, and deactivate cost centers in a self-serve way, without involving Support for routine changes.

  1. Cost Center Status: A cost center can be either active or inactive. A cost center becomes inactive by deactivating it; see Deactivate Cost Center below.

    1. Navigate to Settings > Cost Centers.

    2. Click Cost Center Status.

    3. Mark to show Active, Inactive, or both.

  2. Cost Center:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Cost Centers.

    2. Under Cost Center, Mark the cost center type that you want to filter.

  3. Connection Status:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Cost Centers.

    2. Under Connection status, choose Connected, Pending or N/A.

  4. Search:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Cost Centers.

    2. Use the search field to find a cost center by name.

  5. Edit name:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Cost Centers.

    2. Click and edit the name.

  6. Deactivate Cost Center: Deactivating a cost center stops new data from syncing. Existing data remains available. To delete a cost center, contact [email protected].

    1. Navigate to Settings > Cost Centers.

    2. Click and then click Deactivate Cost Center.

    3. Click Deactivate. The cost center is deactivated. It stays in the cost center management page as Inactive.

    Note:

    • Viewing the integration is in read-only mode.

    • Fields that are considered secrets are never exposed

    1. Navigate to Settings > Cost Centers. Let's use AWS as an example.

    2. Click the cost center whose data you want to view. You are brought to Connect AWS Billing.

      Note: This feature is available for all cost centers.

    3. Review the data and click Next. You are brought to Connect AWS Cost Optimization.

    4. Review the data and click Close.
